Amid the Storm
The sky has opened its curtain
Flash and timbre take the stage
Jealous of the moonlight
As passion turns to rage
The radiance luminates steadfast
Of the ever present orb
Faithful in her glory
And intoxicating lore
Yet what’s that in the distance
Rising to full wrath
Accompanied by vapor
And disillusionment in its breath
The clouds they ride like horses
Galloping to and fro
Their riders have gone mad
As flash and timbre steel the show
They challenge any prospect
Who dares to pose a threat
Their arms are sharp as sabers
Their force is stronger yet
Where is your victory innocent light
Who sits picturesque and palatial
Where have you gone bride of the night
As your groom is daunting and glacial
Vowed to destruction
The climax is nigh
When flash and timbre
Reign over the sky
Watch out dear maples, sturdy oaks and pines
As the sweeping plow has no regard
For the footstool of its performance is nothing more
Than a prop it can easily discard
Woe to the audience who claps in awe
Like the ignorant deceived by the wicked
Oppress the earth as one is corrupt
defiled, humiliated and naked
Fickle in its desire
And just as swiftly as rage arose
Flash and timbre take a bow
and take their bidding to another show
I love that, and one of these days I will get around to writing it down. if you always write like that, then you are am amazing writer.
The manner that you have taken emotions and conveyed them amid a storm is beautiful almost beyond description. You are one that definitely paints pictures when you write. I take notice that you are a "Newbie" to The Zone...Welcome...and it is that I hope you continue to share your writings penned with us to enjoy. *Smiles
